The last 10 days til the beginning...

Yesterday was my 23rd birthday and I couldn't be reminded more of the blessings I have in my life : A loving husband, great friends, and of course wonderful family members. Thank you everyone who took the time to wish me a happy birthday- it meant a lot.

This birthday was a lot different than all of my other 22 birthdays mainly because it was the first time I was pregnant on my birthday. This comes with a lot of challenges during the summer like no water-parks, theme parks, white water rafting, zip-lines, going on a road trip, visiting family, even just going on a mild hike ( it's TOO HOT!). But it was a great reminder of a greater adventure ahead: becoming a mother :)

However, I keep thinking that I am going to be pregnant FOREVER! haha And as much of a blessing it has been to be able to be the vessel that has helped this baby grow and mature to a state where it can grow on its own, I still can't wait for her to come out!I now know what all women talk about when they say the end of the pregnancy is not the funnest part- It's hard to find energy to get things done, you're constantly wondering when the baby will arrive, how you will react, what they will look like, if the pains will ever be over, if you have everything you need, and are you going to be ready.

As ready as I think I am, I know that when the time comes to get to the hospital to deliver this girl, I will be crazy-scared and nervous. As for right now, I am just anxious and ready to get the painful stuff out of the way.

Yes, only 10 more days til our little girl is suppose to be making her debut. Of course, it's always possible she may be shy like her mother and not want to come out for another week---but lets hope not :)

Here we are at 38 weeks!

We are so excited for Alexa to come already, but we are also getting very excited for the change and adventure that our family is about to undertake within a month------we are moving AGAIN. This time the move wont be as easy since we will be out of our apartment by the 1st of September; this means we have to wait til Alexa is here and settled then we can start to make the transition. As chaotic as it will be moving, we are so excited for this change :) we'll keep you posted!!!!

We love you all! 10 more DAYS-ish!!!!

Celebrations!

July 4th!

Not only was the 4th of July an amazing day to remember the freedoms we enjoy and to be much more grateful for this country we live in, but Cameron and I got to celebrate something even more special to us--- our baby girl's 36 week mark. We cannot believe how quickly time has gone by--- in 4 weeks, we are going to be able to hold this squirmy little girl in our arms and never get a good nights rest :) HOW EXCITING!!!!!!!!!

And to top off the excitement, i'm already starting to feel contractions-so it REALLY IS just around the corner.

Here are a few fun pictures from our 4th of July celebration....

We went for a walk to eat some lunch and then celebrated our 4th at the Stadium of Fire where we got to feel a little bit of California with a performance by the Beach Boys :)

We didn't bring the camera into the show because of security and not wanting to lose it, but we took some pictures after the show as we waited for the superbowl traffic to clear :)

and of course to top off this blog....a belly picture :)

Thought it would be fun to compare my stomach at 14 and 36 weeks pregnant
