Through life we can never really experience happiness from anything unless we participate in life's greatest blessing---family.
Just the thought of the day I guess...
What a fantastic few weeks I have had to be reminded of this. Cameron has been 'officially' done with school for a few weeks or so, and these last few weeks we have been so blessed to spend time together. We are both getting sooo excited to invite this little girl into our lives and to share the love that we have for our family, with her. It seems as though the days don't come fast enough for her arrival; our anticipation is not only creating a greater love for her, but also a greater appreciation that we are going to be blessed with a child- forever.
We got to enjoy a fun, free Phat Cat Swinger concert in Springville. One of our good friends is in the band (Phil Clevenger) and we decided to go and have fun!
Enjoying our time together.

So we had an absolutely wonderful time at our Phat Cat Swinger extravaganza!
Something I never thought would be so fun, but definitely has been: decorating a room for someone you don't even know :) Cameron and I are people who prepare waaaay ahead of time, and so far that has been nothing but a complete blessing because we have less to stress about. So we have been casually preparing the room for the baby since the beginning...
This was around February...clearing out the room
Now, we are just about done with her room. We have so many things that were given to us that have helped us out so much---from bedding to diapers. I even thought we could save a few dollars if I made my own cover for the baby changer ( didn't turn out too bad ). Overall, the nursery has been so fun to put together!
This is her changing area. All set up and ready for daddy ;) haha Got a diaper genie thing from my friend Janell which I am sure will be nice for a while. And the diaper changing pad cover ( Pink!) was really fun to make.If I ever need an extra blanket ( which I most definitely wont) then I can undo the seams and-----Waah la!
Her new bed from Grandpa-equipped with wonderful bedding and a mobile thanks to the lovely family I work for.
( I just think the pattern is so adorable! )
Our bed is a mini-crib so I had to make a few adjustments to the bedding, but I think it turned out pretty good.
And then we have the wonderful feeding area all prepared. Thanks to my mom for giving us this rocking chair a few years ago. We found that cute flower wall lamp at Ikea for SUPER cheap.
And here is her cute car seat that we have had for quite a few months just waiting for her to come...we are so excited to see how she fits in it.
And just a fun little shelf that use to be her daddies-- its filled with books, blankets, and beanies! And of course, HIPPOS :)
And something we have been holding onto to for quite a while because we wanted to be suuuure ( well mainly I did) that her name would fit her...
-Here is our little girls name-
And her name was simply made out of cardboard and some material I hot glued.
Cheapest lettering EVER!
So this is her room 4 months ago....
And her room, today...
We couldn't be more excited for her arrival!
And one of our newest additions to the family has been a great blessing for Cameron and I to be able to get. The car I had been commuting to and from work with had no A/C and basically no power anything, it was 2 doors, and black--so we felt as though it was time that we upgraded :)

2009 Nissan Rogue
First off, for all of you who have ever thought that I was a huge X-MEN fan, I am reassuring you now that the car's name ( Rogue) is ONLY a coincidence...haha Cameron and I laughed about it after we decided we would buy it.
We feel so grateful that we will be able to bring our littel girl home in A/C! As exciting as our new car is, we couldn't be more excited for the arrival of our little girl---we saved the best addition to our family (this summer) for last.
At 34 weeks, I am feeling great, and Alexa continues to grow. Doctors said when I went in for my ultrasound in March that she was measuring small---well, she seems to be right on track now. My belly measured 34 cm and I am 34 weeks! Right on target! :)
32 weeks
32 weeks
34 weeks---WAA BAAM!
Whoa, is she GROWING!
We love you all! Thank you so much for all of the love and support you continue to give our lil' growing family!
