The Beginnings...

Well, it's a new year, with SOO many new things to look forward to. However, let me back track for one moment...to about December of 2011 :) What an eventful and exciting month for our family. So many things happened- let me break it down for you

1. I finally finished my Associates Degree in Liberal Arts at Victor Valley College- Only took forever.

2. Cameron finished his 6th semester at BYU!

3. Cameron has finally figured out-for sure-what direction he plans on going after he is done with his undergraduate...Medical School! I definitely have mixed emotions about this, but I am mostly excited that my best friend has finally figured out what career will make him happy and be satisfying to him for quite a while. Right now he is thinking that Emergency Room Doctor is what he wants to do, but if not, he for sure knows he wants to be some kind of doctor :)

4. We got to visit family and friends while we were in California and Las Vegas! That was soo much fun and much needed family time :) It's so hard living 600 miles away from people you love, but it's so much sweeter to see them twice a year as apposed to always being treated with their presence. As Shakespeare put it" ...Parting is such sweet sorrow..."

5. We also got the chance to take some new family pictures :) been a few years so we wanted to update our albums. We had the wonderful Lora Grady do them for us and yes, she is an artist. Check out her blog! http://www.loragradyphotography.com/blog/

One of the many fun pictures we got :)

6. And the last unforgettable happening of December was finding out that Cameron and I were going to be parents :) That's right...we are having a baby...due August 1st! If you're wondering... we are pretty stoked!

Now its January and so many new things to look forward to this year. Today we got to hear our babies heart beat for the first time and what a sweet moment that was for both Cameron and I. The heart beat was so fast and the doctor said it was moving around ALOT- which is a GREAT sign! It made all the nausea and all the other fun pregnancy symptoms seem soo worth it knowing now for sure that a little person is growing inside my belly :)

Along with preparing for the arrival of our baby, we are going to be having a very eventful year. Cameron has his MCATS to take( which means lots of time I wont see my husband this year :/), I have to work as much as possible to save for the baby, our 2 year anniversary is right around the corner, and preparing myself to survive my 3rd trimester in the humid utah summer is going to be fun. Overall though, WE ARE SOOO EXCITED!! WE feel so blessed that our Heavenly Father trusts us enough to bring a new life here and care for it. Sooooooooo looking forward to 2012!

Love you ALL!
